The 16th Asia-Pacific Conference of German Business (APK) – the leading German Business event in Asia-Pacific – will take place in Jakarta, Indonesia from 01 – 03 November 2018.
Over the last three decades, the Asia-Pacific Conference of German Business (APK) has evolved into Germany’s signature business event in Asia. At the APK, top business and government leaders from Germany and Asia-Pacific meet every two years to discuss and promote economic relations between Europe’s largest economy and the fastest-growing region in the world.
For the APK 2018 in Jakarta, up to 1,000 participants are expected – many of which are decision makers in business, associations, and politics.
“The APK brings Germany and the Asia-Pacific region closer together by connecting its political and economic representatives and in addressing challenges in an increasingly complex world. I am convinced that the APK in Jakarta will prove once more that personal encounters and discussions promote cooperation and deepen ties between Asia and Germany.”
Dr. Hubert Lienhard, Chairman of the Asia-Pacific Committee of German Business
Since the first APK in 1986, the conference has steadily increased in significance and attendance. Today it is jointly organized by the Asia-Pacific Committee of German Business (APA), the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi), and the bilateral German Chambers of Commerce Abroad (AHK). It is co-chaired by the APA Chairman and the German Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Energy.
