Since 1965, the Embassy represents German interests in Singapore, promoting political relations and economic, scientific and cultural cooperation. Our team is looking forward to strengthening our departments in order to further strengthen the close relationship and make Germany more visible in Singapore.

The position includes the following focal tasks:

  • Assisting, maintaining, analysing and further enhancement of the Embassy’s social media channels (currently Twitter, Facebook and Instagram) and the Embassy’s website;
  • Producing and designing of texts and audio-visual content for social media channels Research and analysis of local media
  • Community management
  • Media analysis
  • Drafting press releases
  • Support in answering media inquiries and hosting media delegations

Requirements:

  • Minimum requirement for a university entrance qualification, ideally Bachelor’s degree, in journalism, media and communication, international relations, marketing or a related field of study
  • At least two years’ work experience in the field of social media communication, Facebook, Twitter Instagram and/or  LinkedIn in corporate communication is preferred
  • Experience in working with social media analytics, producing, gleaning and evaluating the contents
  • Knowledge of English at mother tongue level with proficient writing skills is required; good command of the German language is desirable
  • Excellent communication skills, intercultural skills
  • High resilience and excellent team player, ability to work independently, enthusiasm and dedication, diligence and reliability 
  • A sound understanding of the political, social and economic situation in Singapore
  • Willingness to work outside normal working hours for events.

  • A tabular curriculum vitae in tabular form in German or English (passport photo optional)
  • Copies of professional training, study and work certificates as well as any letters of recommendation and proof of language skills
  • If available, copies of previous publications or work samples
  • A copy of a passport/photo ID, if applicable residence permit
