Food from the Heart

Food from the Heart is a non-profit organisation that feeds the needy through its food distribution programme since February 2003. It is one of Singapore's foremost food charity with IPC status devoted to alleviating hunger through the efficient distribution of food in a sustainable manner; and making a significant impact in food waste reduction. With the support of partners, donors, food industry partners and more than 10,000 volunteers, Food from the Heart made a difference to the lives of 53,700 people throughout Singapore by distributing S$6.35 million worth of food in 2020.

Below is a breakdown of what each amount of your donation will be used for.

Each pack costs SGD$35 and comprises of about 15 items including fresh eggs, fruits, root vegetables, and non-perishable food items in bigger- sized cans and packages to support families longer during these challenging times. It also include a 12.5% of donation to keep their operations running.

SPD

SPD is a charity set up in Singapore to help people with disabilities of all ages to maximise their potential and integrate them into mainstream society. Their support is also extended to family members and caregivers to ensure a better network of care for their loved ones with disabilities. Many of their beneficiaries are from low-income families.

SPD’s services catered to about 10,000 people with disabilities. Your donations will go towards running programmes and services that help to maximise their potentials so that they can be Independent.

MILK (Mainly I Love Kids) Fund

MILK believes that no child should be left behind regardless of disability, illness, or circumstance. At MILK we believe that the best way to commit to our future is through our children. This is why we build-up and work with partners and programmes that develop children into contributing members of society. MILK focuses on plugging the gaps in the social service sector rather than duplicating what is already in existence, and this is done by an ongoing and rigorous study of the non-profit landscape and the policies in place. MILK also devotes its resources to transformational programmes that empower children and their families to break out of the poverty cycle.

Our work can be broadly described in 3 areas:

(1) Support for education;

(2) Special and specific needs;

(3) Journeying with families
