Last year, the German government published the policy guidelines on the Indo Pacific to expand its co-operation with the region. It emphasizes the importance of South East Asia as part of further diversifying Germany’s and the EU’s relations with the region.

One year later, a panel discussion and dialogue addressed a major aim of the policy guidelines’ which is to avoid unilateral dependencies by diversifying partnerships and how to further intertwine policy making and enterprises.
