SOCIAL MEDIA EDITOR (M/F/D) Fulltime, 39 hrs/week

The German Information Centre (GIC) is a public diplomacy initiative of the Federal Foreign Office and provides information on German foreign policy and German engagement in the region of Southeast Asia on its social media channels Facebook, X and Instagram.

The position includes the following tasks

  • Creation and design of captions and audio-visual products for social media channels, research of communication content.

  • Supervision and maintenance of the social media channels as well as community management.

  • Organizational and administrative activities in the team.

Requirements

  • Minimum requirement: High school diploma with university entrance qualification, a bachelor's degree in journalism, media and communication sciences, visual design, international relations, marketing or a related field of study would be an advantage.

  • At least two years’ work experience in the field of social media communication, Facebook, X and/or Instagram in corporate communication is preferred.

  • Experience in creating graphics and videos, dealing with graphics and Image editing programs (e.g. Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Premier Pro, Canva, Affinity Suite, Final Cut Pro etc.).

  • English language skills at native speaker level, both spoken and written.

  • Good knowledge of the German language (level B1) would be an advantage.

  • Excellent communication skills, intercultural and social skills.

  • High resilience and excellent team player.

Only applicants who meet Singapore's employment and residency requirements and provide the relevant documentation will be considered.

The salary is fixed on a local scheme basis, normal working time is 39hrs/week, flexible working.

The remuneration is based on customary local terms and conditions. The contractual conditions are based on local law. The employment contract is initially limited to one year. The possibility of extension exists.
