SOCIAL MEDIA ANALYST (M/F/D) FULLTIME, 39 HRS/WEEK

The German Information Centre (GIC) is a public diplomacy initiative of the Federal Foreign Office and provides information on German foreign policy and German engagement in the region of Southeast Asia on its social media channels Facebook and Twitter.

The position includes the following tasks

  • Social media monitoring and trend analysis

  • Development of advertising strategies and appealing social media content for campaigns

  • Planning, implementing and monitoring social media campaigns

  • Impact analysis of campaigns

  • Sentiment analyses on current topics on social media

  • Support and maintenance of social media channels, incl. community management

  • Collaboration with partner institutions and agencies

Requirements

  • Minimum requirements Bachelor's degree in journalism, media and communication studies, international relations, marketing or a related field of study.

  • Minimum of two years' experience of creating social media campaigns and proficiency in interpreting social media metrics using professional analytical tools

  • Accuracy and the ability to produce high quality posts under time constraint.

  • Enjoy working with social media, creativity and an eye for detail to independently produce content that drives engagement.

  • Practical knowledge of creating audio-visual content (PPTs, infographics, charts and videos etc.) as well as MS Office and Mac OS.

  • Solid knowledge and understanding of the political, social and economic situation as well as the social media landscape in Southeast Asia

  • Proficiency of English at native speaker level, both written and spoken. Good knowledge of written and spoken German (level B1) and Mandarin is an advantage.

  • Strong communication skills, intercultural and social competence and ability to work in a team.

The salary is fixed on a local scheme basis, normal working time is 39hrs/week.

The remuneration is based on customary local terms and conditions. The contractual conditions are based on local law. Only applicants who meet Singapore's employment and residence law requirements can be considered.
