PR & SOCIAL MEDIA EDITOR (ALL GENDERS) IN THE FIELD PRESS AND PUBLIC DIPLOMACY FOR PART-TIME EMPLOYMENT (19.5 HRS/ WEEK)
SINCE 1965, THE EMBASSY REPRESENTS GERMAN INTERESTS IN SINGAPORE, PROMOTING POLITICAL RELATIONS AND ECONOMIC, SCIENTIFIC AND CULTURAL COOPERATION. OUR TEAM IS LOOKING FORWARD TO STRENGTHENING OUR DEPARTMENTS IN ORDER TO FURTHER DEEPEN AND EXPAND THE CLOSE BILATERAL RELATIONSHIP.
The position includes the following tasks
Assisting, maintaining, analysing and further enhancement of the Embassy’s social media channels (currently Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn) and the Embassy’s website.
Producing and designing of texts and audio-visual content for social media channels.
Community management.
Research and analysis media reports.
Drafting press releases.
Support in answering media inquiries and hosting media delegations.
Requirements
Minimum requirement for a university entrance qualification, ideally Bachelor’s degree, in journalism, media and communication, international relations, marketing or a related field of study.
At least two years’ work experience in the field of social media communication, Facebook, Twitter Instagram and / or LinkedIn in corporate communication is preferred.
Experience in working with social media analytics, producing, gleaning and evaluating the contents.
Language skills:
- Very good written and spoken English language skills required
- Good written and spoken German language skills are desirable
- Good command of written and spoken Mandarin Chinese is an advantage
Excellent communication skills, intercultural skills.
High resilience and excellent team player, ability to work independently, enthusiasm and dedication, diligence and reliability.
A sound understanding of the political, social and economic situation in Singapore.
Willingness to work outside normal working hours for events.
The remuneration is based on customary local terms and conditions. The contractual conditions are based on local law. The employment contract is initially limited to one year. The possibility of extension exists.
