Presented as part of the Growing Together series, this concert marks six decades of friendship, diplomacy, and cultural exchange between Singapore and Germany.

Featuring Singapore’s leading chamber orchestra Asia Virtuosi under the baton of Maestro Joshua Tan, the evening showcases masterworks by three of Germany’s most revered composers: Beethoven, Mendelssohn, and Richard Strauss.

The program includes Beethoven’s Coriolan Overture, Op. 62, a powerful and dramatic work capturing the inner turmoil of its tragic hero, Mendelssohn’s youthful and expressive Violin Concerto in D minor, MWV O3 featuring renowned Singaporean violinist Chan Yoong Han, two works by Richard Strauss: the beloved art song Morgen!, Op. 27 No. 4, sung by rising tenor Shaun Lee, and the Ariadne auf Naxos Symphony-Suite (arr. D Wilson Ochoa) based on Strauss' opera of the same name.
